CandleScience Onsite Event Recap: Brand in a Box!

On October 8th, CandleScience hosted their first ever onsite event at their headquarters in Durham, North Carolina and we were honored to be a part of it.
"Brand in a Box" was organized by CandleScience to serve as an open forum for candle makers to meetup and learn more about their brand partners Avery and Flush. It was an opportunity for us to connect one-on-one with enthusiastic candle makers as they navigate their journey of choosing the right candle vessels, fragrance oils, and wax, stylish eye-catching labels from Avery, and protective eco-friendly packaging from Flush.
Guests arrived in the morning to an amazing spread of pastries and coffee as we all got a chance to mingle and get introduced to one another in CandleScience's beautiful showroom. If you have not yet had a chance to visit, I highly recommend it! Their showroom is open for customers to pickup local orders and on any given day, hundreds of candle makers browse samples of all their vessels and fragrance oils.
Attendees were then divided into two groups for presentations from both Avery and Flush. Nichole from Avery is a label pro and had an awesome presentation that covered popular label materials, shapes, and color combinations for various CandleScience vessels.
After her presentation, her audience switched over to join me for a demo of both shipping and retail style boxes made perfectly for CandleScience vessels. This made for two ~40 minute presentations that allowed for great audience engagement and a fun learning environment.
In anticipation of the guests appreciating a more hands-on approach to our discussion, I came prepared with samples of the different types of packaging we offer within our CandleScience Packaging Collection. From wholesale shipping boxes as well as our various shelf-ready boxes. It's one thing to talk about our approach to protective packaging design but there is no equal substitution for an opportunity to demonstrate in-person and answer questions one-on-one.
To close out the event, Lyndsey Gibson, CandleScience's Vice President of Product and Business Operations, led an open forum for questions and answers from all the attendees. We discussed labels and boxes but most importantly, we emphasized the shared gratitude and appreciation we have for an enthusastic group of small business owners and their passion for candlemaking.
I was so excited to represent Flush alongside Nichole from Avery. CandleScience, Avery, and Flush have been fortunate to share a years long partnership with the common focus of putting the makers' needs first and doing what we can to support them. Until now, the missing component has been the in-person factor that puts faces to the names of the companies that so many candle makers rely on for their supplies.
We'd like to give a huge thank you to CandleScience for putting together such an amazing event. We're looking forward to this being the first of many opportunities where we get a chance to meet and engage with the makers that rely on us for safe packaging.
